Juneau is a doodle. She is half poodle and half Chesapeake Bay Retriever. She is our pandemic puppy. Juneau loves to travel. When you say the words "ride, car or go," she starts spinning around as she is running for the door. She is my faithful travel companion. #IsawJuneau

I have always liked to travel and go on road trips. A horrible reaction to the medicine used during an emergency neck surgery, has left me anxious and claustrophobic. Traveling by plane was very difficult so I started road tripping to were I wanted to visit when possible. Now, exploring the backroads of America has become my passion.
I have always liked to travel and go on road trips. A horrible reaction to the medicine used during an emergency neck surgery, has left me anxious and claustrophobic. Traveling by plane was very difficult so I started road tripping to were I wanted to visit when possible. Now, exploring the backroads of America has become my passion. As a history teacher, I love to learning history and everywhere I go there is history to learn.

What is the Vagabond Project?
The Vagabond Project is my way to reconnect with small town America. We rush from here to there on the Interstate System and miss so much of the history that is around us. During the summer of 2023, I will take a road trip that will take me around the backroads of America exploring the history of our great country. This trip was made possible by the Barancik Foundation's TIME Fellowship.
